YWG and pistol shrimp

I recently acclimated and added a yellow watchman and a tiger pistol to my 75 gallon. I drip acclimated them in the same acrylic fish store hang-on box thingy (don't know what they're offcially called, it's what the fish store staff told me to do to ensure they familiarize themselves to each other), adding them to my display tank, and they both went their separate ways when I poured them in. Will they eventually come back together and pair up?

yes, and no. all depends on their individual personalities- but in general they should pair.

I've got several shrimpgobies and a half-dozen shrimp in my tank.

All gobies partnered almost immediately, and at least two shrimp paired up, making two shrimp and an orange-spot goby sharing that burrow.

I had my ywg for about a year before I got a shrimp. They teamed up after a day or two but that was in a 24 gallon cube tank.

A year later I moved them into a 210 gallon tank. They went separate ways in a 6 foot tank. After the bulldozer…I mean shrimp made a huge pile of sand I was able to locate both of them, together.

It’s possible they won’t socialize, but I’d say odds are they will pair up.

These are known as Three’s Company Shrimp. More popular in the seventies but making a comeback.

They should. The picture is blurry but the YWG looks very thin. Target feed it if you can until it gets fat enough.
