I know you dose Alk and Ca. I do as well (albiet barely any Ca). I presume you dose Ca since your system is all plumbed and that top tank needs it, but do you find your zoa's need Ca at all? I cannot think of why they would, I dose it simply to maintain NSW levels, but I wonder if the intense alkaline algae growth in my display and frag tanks inhibit zoa growth on rocks and plugs?
Also, do you dose Alk while your lights are out or 24/7 split throughout the day? I have always just dosed equal parts throughout the day using a auto doser, but last night changed to when the tank is dark to try and bring balance to my pH. Any experience with pH swings and zoas for you? Think we can all agree Alk swings are no good for them. i put a few pics of my top tank
