Hello everyone I'm new to Reef2Reef and I am starting a new tank, and I have been in and out of the hobby for around 8 years now. Ive recently got through the new tank cycle and have been closely monitoring my parameters and decided it was time I bought some coral. So, I went online during a Halloween sale and bought some zoa's online through a website I have never purchased from before.

I bought a GMK Zoa because ive had success with them in the past. I was a little disappointed when I received the attached picture. I personally do not think this is a GMK but I was wanting more experience reefers opinions. Hopefully it's just not as vivid as I remember or a mix up in shipping.

Any helpful advice will be greatly appreciated. :)

they look more like stratospheres but the lighting isn't helping the zoa pop as it should. GMKs are more of a solid two-tone Zoa: pink and yellow. They don't really have much markings in the middle of the polyp, they do but almost in a uniform circle. Could be a gmk, but i would ask for a better pic with better lighting /:

I’ve been working with the filters on my phone and this is the best I could get it the green is more vivid in this filter but it’s the best I could do

I think you indeed have a stratosphere head! gmks don't have yellow swirls in the middle near the mouth. Strats do! They're the same price range, so I wouldn't get too upset at the mixup. Try keeping it in lower light, it'll puff up when it reaches for some light.
