Looks like you got yourself a case of vermatid snails. I’ve never had to battle them so I’ll let someone answer on what to do about them

Should I just toss the frag?
Carefully break them off close to base as possible making sure to crush the whole shell to get them off. If possible you can dip corals them and return to tank or just rinse in cup of tank water then return to tank. You will end up with those snails anyway you look at it in the future anyways so do t freak out

Take it out and pop the snails off at the base with a knife or whatever you can use without damaging the zoas, they’re super common in reef tanks.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
