Recently my palys are acting weird ... they are loosing color

attached is a pic of pink hippo palys ..one of the polyps closed and when it opened again the green is gone .. not sure if its just my feeling but the brown around the mouth on other polyps looks like its spreading outward

Please help me find a reason for this

How long have they been in your tank at the "correct" color? And have you changed anything recently? Think of anything.

I'm also suspecting lighting is the culprit,
They are in my tank around a month at good color

This tank used to have 2 whites and 3 blues at which point some of the corals started extending their stalks cause of lack of lighting
After like around 8 days increased lighting to 4 whites and 8 blues, assumed More light would cause them to go pale

So how do I revert this and get the color back ??

I am also seeing a decrease in the size of other palys polyps. ..same reason ??

Just cut the lighting period and increase slowly every 2 days. If its possible you can raise the light and just lower it every few days also.

Possibly cut your photo period down or split in half. 4 hours in the morning 3 hrs off then 3-4 hrs at night. I run my lights like this and I still i think I'm giving too much light.

Also spectrum is key. 20k seems to yield better colors for Zoas.

Lighting shock is like when you wake up and the light blinds you, it happens with corals and you can burn, bleach or kill corals. Just lower the time and raise it slowly. The zoas that lost color will get it back in a few months.
