Have you checked your salinity? Mine did this and actually I lost a few frags.. I was going crazy trying to figure it out.. I checked my salinity and it was 1.030:eek: I started immediately doing 1-2gallons of rodi water changes everyday for two weeks and now it is down at 1.024 and my zoas are slowly opening back up.. its so heartbreaking watching everything wilt and not know what to do.. I agree with some of the others.. patience is key.. don't try every suggestion given.. try one and wait and try another so you will know what actually works.. I also dipped my zoas about every 3 days in revive and iodine for 15 seconds each.. good luck :)

I'm doing the chemiclean treatment now, water change will be done tomorrow around 3pm. This has helped in the past. Also if u can give them a dip. I found a lot of mini star fish that looked like to be feasting inbetween the polyps.

I have tried a couple of different things since i started this thread. 1. I changed the LED intensity to 30% whites and 30% blue/red channel. 2. Dosed a treatment of chemi clean (had red slime forming in a few areas) main reason for that. 2. Did a major water change of 15 gallons. That's basically all I have done in the past 2 weeks and the zoas don't appear to have any improvement. Next step is to try and raise my LEDs higher from the tank, and I will check all parameters again today and see where they are right now.

Just an update for those interested. The zoas still look the exact same, all shriveled up. I'm surprised they aren't dead yet..

If you have dipped in iodine and your salinity is ok.. I have no idea.. like I said.. I dipped in iodine, Bayer and Revive and rinsed under fw once.. nothing helped until I figured out that my refractometer was reading incorrect.. even though I had calibrated it. Some people swear by them.. and shooo away hydrometers.. and honestly you would think that something that cost $60 would work way better than a $10 item.. but in my case.. it didn't..

I'm going to mention this just because I haven't seen it mentioned yet. I have thousands of zoanthids many are 300+ polyp colonies. One thing that I swear by is keeping the larger colonies clear of detritus and other debris. I use turkey baster as often as I can which is usually 3-5 times a week. It does wonders for mine and keeps them happy. I haven't had any major losses since incorporating that a couple of years ago.

Something easy to do and can't hurt only help.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been super busy with work and kids. Still haven't had a chance to test my parameters again, will get that posted first chance I get. But zoas are still the same shriveled up...
