Zooplankton spawner that can be as live food producer?

Are there any animals that spawns planktonic larvae relatively often that are/can be use as live food producers in an aquarium?
Maybe something that's easy to keep.
It would be nice to have some live food spawn in the tank time to time.

Oyster sounded good at first but their spawning might be a little too much for me to handle.
It's great to know though, never know when the knowledge would come in handy.
