Hey, Luis! Welcome! I always like to make my own saltwater, because when I go to my lfs to get it the TDS is just about 10, which I prefer to not put in my tank.

Your tank looks awesome! Keep up the good work!
The problem is that lately I have only read the bad things about putting sea water and maybe that is there playing in my mind, but I would also thinking to prepare my water so i can save a little more money for corals lol

Oh, lol. I thought you meant buy the saltwater from your LFS. If you mean actually taking water from the ocean, I would not do it. I would be worried about viruses and stuff like that. I wouldn't do either. Making saltwater at home is a quite high expense in the beginning, but it will slowly pay itself off.

I know that this question is opening a Pandora's box lol, but what salt do you guys recommend?
I use coral pro blue bucket. My coral love it, and I can mix it the same day I do my WC.

I use regular IO.
Used red Sea coral pro also for years too. Good salt. Mixes that day like Walker mentioned.

Honestly most of them made now are pretty good.
There's always a thread debating which one is better/worse etc etc but they're all fine.
I switched to IO because I got a bunch of it from petco for $26 a bucket, still don't know how I did that and honestly it's fine.
I can mix it forever and not worry, no brown gunk in the bucket and it's cheap.
Red Sea coral pro, blue bucket good Fritz is what Kev uses. I've tried a lot and only one I didn't like.
Just remember it's not just the salt.
It's the water.
Gotta use great water or the salt is worthless IMO.

I guess the only the only one I would avoid is the Red Sea salt made in Turkey. The one made outside of Turkey is fine. A year ago there were a crazy amount of complaints about it.
