Looks really nice and I am very jealous of your basement. My biggest problem setting up my 150dd was the limited space under my stand. Having a custom sump built was the only way for me to get it done. Did you stay with the durso drain or did you go full siphon. I went with the full siphon since the tank is in my living room and now the only thing I hear is the ato pump turning on. Great build can't wait to see the aquascape. What are your plans for the tank is it going to be fish only or full reef.
Thanks! I love the basement fish room, it was a lot of work getting it up and running..we've only been in our house for a year. I stayed with the durso drain, its working OK..just seems to drain in 'gulps' not a continues steady flow...I plan on doing a mixed reef but mostly SPS..I have a radion gen 2 with upgraded g3pro clusters. Thinking I'll need some other supplemental lighting too...just ordered my skimmer, reef dynamics INS180!!
If it is gulping you should try cleaning the air hole on top of the durso drain or maybe even making the whole slightly bigger. If it's gulping the water is backing up and when the pressure increases enough it flushes just like your toilet does when use push down the handle.
Thanks, I'm enjoying it so far. the depth is nice, just have the one radion mounted corner to corner right now. Thinking about adding those t5s to bump up the coverage. Although the one radion, with the 120 optics, seems to be working good. I don't see any dark spots..
