This is my first time working a marine tank and am wanting to start small. What would any of you recommend for a 4 gal. reef tank?
I know about setup but for the creatures...I need information from people that have experience, (versus Wikipedia.)
Would a Goby be ok?

I'd recommend a starry goby or a flaming prawn goby.

I get the wanting to start small, but if you are brand new to saltwater, I'd advising starting bigger than 4 gallons. Especially if you are wanting fish. There is far too much that can go wrong in 4 gallons of water.

Personally i would stick with inverts for that size tank, even then, its kind of sad to watch them crawl 6 inches then turn around and do it again all day long. The tank is too small for a fish.
