So I chopped a all green, no specs branch into 4 last Christmas to pencil eraser size. Now 1 year later this is what I got:

Feels like at the exchange for red, I delayed the growth way too much tho lol
Thats pretty cool though, what good is growth with no red, lol?

November red finally starting to come in on multiple branches. I had a temp swing which ticked a lot of corals off in my tank, then all of a sudden red streaks on 4 spots. Cant wait to see what it develops into. Note: the piece on the left side was fragged for my office tank which also is starting to show red.

I like the documentation of this thread!

I wish I took good pictures showing the progressing of mine but it is 100% possible to have an all green frag get red, it may take awhile like all good things in this hobby haha but it most likely will get red!

I got mine from ARC a few months ago and the encrusting part already has a nice red streak. However, I got it as a frag about 50% red.

Very nice!

I got impatient and bought one with red on it. I'm still growing out the all green ones so the experiment continues but i got tired of waiting.
I got mine DEC 21 21 ang it took awhile to show any red like I said mine just started showing red about 3-4 months ago. Very little. So maybe it will take off with alot of red.

Wanted to give an update on my splice. My colony stalled out on growth due to some tank issues but not on the color front. It appears to be growing again now and is continuing to get even better color with new spots of red popping up in areas that previously had none. There is hope!
