To treat for intestinal parasites I used daily treatment with food soaked in General Cure and Focus for 14 days.

Take a look at @HotRocks thread

I followed directions on box and did one dose, then repeated after 48 hours. Then waited another 48 hours and did water change and put in carbon. I did not have skimmer on QT tank but if I did it would have been off until 48hrs after 2nd dose.

^^ This is the correct way to use General Cure; redose in 5-7 days.

DO NOT follow the directions which say to redose in 48 hrs.

Are the 2 doses meant to combine for the full strength or does is API saying that the first dose leaves the water after 48 hours?

I am dosing GC 2 x 6 days apart with 25% water change between. My question is, can I do a 50% water changer between the 2 doses (making it 3 doses in total) to keep my water quality high and ammonia in check? This s a new QT, it has only been running for a couple weeks.

Thank you!
