More cell pics... I need to go buy a tripod so I can finally start taking decent pictures with my Nikon.

Found what I would consider a unique looking scoly which is one of my favorite corals and one of the reasons I wanted to get a saltwater tank. Why it's taken me so long to get one I don't know, guess I'm just too picky!

Definitely not the brightest thing in the world but I fell in love with it right when I saw it. Maybe it'll brighten up under LEDs who knows but either way I'm excited about this one.

I also picked up a second clam, a derasa, which I also though had a unique pattern to it. It hasn't fully opened up yet so I'll post pictures of that later on.

Nice pics! So how's the Gyre working out for you? I switched over from MP40's and really like the Gyre so far.

I'm loving it so far! It's not really hitting the full 4' length of the tank so I will most likely be adding a second one in the near future.

Really? I've got mine on long pulse on a 5' tank and it moves water pretty crazy at just 40-50%. I saw you setup for alternating mode, did you swap out the paddle/cage in that mode?

I'm now using pulse mode and like it better than the alternating mode. I didn't mean that it didn't reach the full length of the tank, it's just that I like how the flow looks better right by the gyre. I don't know how to explain what I'm talking about.

Gotcha man, glad it worked out for you. I like pulse, but I do alternate between that and constant every few days to mix it up a bit. I hope they come out with a Apex module soon so I don't have to keep manually doing that, hahaha.

Well after a sudden outbreak of what seemed to be ich all my fish are in a HT and dropping like flies! :( last night I did half the recommended dose of cupramine and found 2 dead fish in the morning went to work around 8:00am and ca be back around 3:30pm to find 2 more dead fish. I immediately did a 5 gallon WC and I'm now playing the waiting game although it doesn't look like I'll have any good new to report on my fish! Pretty sad moment for me, can't stop kicking myself in the *** for not QT'ing my fish...lesson learned.

Need some help with my AI Vega settings. I think at first I had my lights too intense, some sps bleached and some browned out, some zoas had the umbrella shape. Old settings were around:

W: 40%
V: 45%
R: 8%
G: 8%
B: 70%
DB: 70%
RB: 70%

With 5hrs 2bulbs T5

With a hunch of my lights being too intense I dropped them to the following:

W: 20%
V: 25%
R: 8%
G: 8%
B: 50%
DB: 50%
RB: 50%

With 5hrs 2bulb T5

I reduced my lighting because my parameters are in check and couldn't think of what else it could be. Even with the LEDs at the Lower settings the only difference I have noticed is that my green digi is becoming green again.

Alk: 8.5-9.0 Hanna
Cal: 440 Red Sea
Mg: 1400 Red Sea
P04: .03 Hanna
Nitrate: 0 API

Thank you! It lost a little color during treatment but I believe once it's fully colored it'll look 10x better.
