My new @Vivid Creative Aquatics Dual RFG arrived yesterday, just in time to do my weekly water change.

Let me tell you, this is JUST what my tank was needing. Between my aquascape, and coral growth and coral placement, the single head RFG wasn’t cutting it anymore, there were too many dead spots, and a lot of new SPS from my last Battlebox weren’t getting the amount of flow they really needed.

The Dual RFG made all the difference. I’m still using the stock shops pump that came with the tank, and honestly I feel like it’s a great combo. Maybe as my SPS grow into mini colonies I”ll need more force behind it, but as of now, everything on the top half of the tank is getting serious flow, and the bottom half is getting increased flow but nothing crazy turbulent.

Once again, huge shoutout to Antonio at Vivid! They’ve continued to fine tune their products over the years, and truly stand behind their customers! ALL of my tanks will ALWAYS have their RFG’s in them!

Thanks for looking!

------------------------------------------

Today I feed Reef Roids, after I do my target and broadcast feeding, I"ll take a quick video once I through the pumps back on to show the increased flow!

Tissue on my sunset milli is growing back. As of Friday the back of the Millie was still all skeleton, as of this morning it’s all covered in tissue. Up front, the patch that was lost in the middle is almost healed too. I'm thinking by the end of March the whole frag will be fully covered again (just like the PC Rainbow)

Progress being made!!

I feel like my SPS could use some additional whites for their growing window...Increased the white photoperiod from 9AM-2PM to the new window of 7:30AM-3PM (increase from 5 hours to 7.5 hours).

I also increased the warm whites from 15 --> 20
Cool Whites from 30-->45.

30 minute ramp down at 3pm to all blues, and then lights off at 5PM.

Take ha a bit of a crisper white look today then prior with the bump up in the cool white spectrum, and I like it! Brought me a bit close to the HQI 14K bulb I used to run back in 2004-2006

really cool designs! What program did you use to generate these?

Sometimes you have to keep refreshing and it keeps spitting out more (i believe it might be "learning" as it keeps going time and time again).

PC Rainbow has DEFINITELY set in, and is now taking off! It's had a good amount of growth in the last month! Cool thing is that this piece has only been in the tank for 6 months....can't wait to see what happens in the next 6 months!

Here’s a few comparison pictures of corals when I first got them, and as they were today.

Bottom pictures are all the new ones. Growth has been going really well! The one coral that’s really impressive is the blue tort I got from @worldwidecorals It started out as a tiny nub, and has put down one heck of a base…went from 3 polyps to probably 30+. One of these days I’m sure it will finally go vertical!

Thanks for looking!

So it looks like I'm about to get some coral warfare going on between two favia's (WWC Fascination and Superman). Currently they're growing in harmony...wondering if they'll touch, or keep a little distance between themselves....time will tell!

@Battlecorals Green Tangerine is coloring back up!

Picture on the left is about 40 days ago. The top half of the coral lost is fluorescence for some unknown reason. The polyps stayed their proper color, but the main flesh lost it. Starting last week it started to color up, and as you can see on the picture on the right...it's coming back! Now it's time for it to GROW!

Lets go!

I love how these little tanks look. What’s your maintenance like at this point for this reef?
Super super simple honestly....

Monday-Friday:
-Manually top off with ~1/8 cup of water (2 protein powder scoops daily, and I add a bit more on Friday to go over the weekend)
-3mL of All For Reef (Mon-Fri)
-Monday, 1 Gallon weekly water change
-Tuesday, Feeding of Reef Roids or Reef Chili
-Fish are fed 3-4 times daily (M-F)

That's it! I also have my little turkey baster that I blow off the rocks daily, and replace my filter floss pad every 3-4 days as it clogs up, and scrape the glass every 3 days or so.

Still DON'T do any testing, and everything is thriving!

So this happened on Friday. The Joker 2.0 has met it's demise. But other than that everything is thriving!

It went from absolutely beautiful purple body with electric colored streaks, to just purple, to brown to dead....no idea why. Placement height wise is no different than others, and flow wasn't any more/less than others. Seems to be this one just wasn't long for my tank.
