What is that mushroom with a pink rim and green inside? Tank looks great btw
Thank you! Are you referring to the big thing in the bottom right? If so that's a particularly interestingly colored maxi mini carpet anemone. Was so excited when I saw it at my lfs as Ive never seen one like it. They grow to about 6-8 inches across so it's still got an inch or 2 to grow. It has probably doubled in size in the yearish that Ive had it. They are about the same level of fish safe as bubble tip anemones (can eat fish but usually perching ones and not often). They've got a pretty strong sting. They're a fantastic host for sexy shrimp and certain clowns though especially when they get really large (they can mimic larger carpet anemones for carpet nem hosting species)

I really wish I knew more local reefers. My LFS is tired of doing baby toadstool trade ins, and I've got a few attached ones that are reaching 2-4 inches that I'd love to give to local reefers

My less liked (but still good) lfs is so frustrating. They have a whole offsite grow out facility and regularly sell chunkyyyyyyy lps and softy frags/full colonies for 30-100 bucks, but their sale tank is RIDDLED with colonial hydroids so I always just look

It's hard to see here in my fuge, but as my fuge has matured over the last 6-9 months some fun things are happening. Tons of little critters, but the coolest thing is because of how the fuge is set up to gravity flow down into the sump return area, I get phyto booms in my sump occasionally that turns the water murky green and gravity feeds phyto to the tank constantly. Hard to get a good photo of, but it's a happy accident I'm really proud of.

My next coral additions will be things I get from the Reef Farm open house. They have a pulsing finger leather I hope they have frags of for that event. I'm very hyped it's always a fun event

Might see you there! Hope to attend and check out the local setup.

Added 1 Polyp of this cute orange skirted zoa with a white middle and yellow mouth. I've got 50+ of them in a colony now. Their skirts have also gotten massive. Added around a year and some change ago. Really took off 6 months or so ago

Old man watchman goby made an appearance right up at the glass. They were full grown when I added them ~6 years ago. Probably close to 7 or 8. Happy, fat, and healthy. Living in a big hole built by a tiger pistol. Their cave system is huge these days as the tiger pistol is almost 2 now.

3 new huge leather frags from the reef farm event! A 2-3 inch neon cabbage leather (fully closed still in the photo), a finger leather, and a gorgonian. Each frag was like 25 bucks. Sadly they were out of their fuzzy sinilaria (person in front of me bought the last one) but they will have some that they wholesale sent to a local store they said in the next 2 weeks!
