Danger in your aquarium cabinet! What are some of the potential perils of keeping a reef tank?

So, I've seen a few posts lately about aquarium fires. What do you guys think usually causes fires in an aquarium cabinet?

What are some of the other dangers that we need to consider in the reef-keeping hobby? What precautions should we take for these?

heat
Water (humidity and leak)
Poor grounding of equipment
Lack of protection such as GFCI
No drip loop with cords
Pets

I think a lot of it is no gfci, and piling all the electrical plugs and powerstrips under the tank. I used to be guilty of this myself. Buying some new equipment, plug it in, and just add another cord to the rat's nest. Telling myself I'll tidy it up later. Which never came. Eventually I made boards to get everything out from under the tanks, and installed gfci and ground probes.
