Sooo....still no lights (hopefully today???), but I thought I'd interrupt our normal program to show off my newest frag.

Ethan was born yesterday almost 4 weeks early, but still weighs in at 8 pounds and measured 20 inches!

Here he is!

Congratulations!

Woah... Nice frag. lol

Congrats!!!!!!

Thanks guys! I've been hangin' out a lot with the little guy, but I'll be back to finishing this build soon. LOL

I did finally install one light (so now it's a half lighted tank), and I have added one frag to see how coral worthy it is. Everything is working great! I'll be posting some pics soon hopefully (once I get the other light up).

The lights I am putting over it for now are temporary until I can build my canopy and my buddy can fix the LEDs that were built for this tank. They did finally come in, but there were a few bulbs that got busted in route and the wires need to be finished. Hopefully soon...until then I'll use my good ol' chinese LEDs. :)

The end game plan is to install my custom built LEDs (Luxeon rebels) and 4 t5 bulbs to supplement for best color.

Thanks! :) Yep! My daughter will be in 2 in November, and this little guy just made a month old. Here's my princess looking at my other tank (180g).

WOW! It's been a long time since I posted an update to this thread...probably bc there's not much to report on this poor neglected tank. LOL

I have had a MAJOR aiptasia outbreak that I've been trying to bring under control. I bought some berghias...I thought they all died, but then noticed one a few days ago (and he was HUGE), so I guess they're still at work.

I recently bought a couple of radions for the tank (my ideas for a DIY setup have been dashed to bits at this point). I have also bought the stuff to add a DIY T5 setup to supplement. I'll be looking to build a canopy in the next little while (ok...hopefully at some point this year...).

In interesting developments, I had 3 clowns for a while in here, and then about 3 months ago, I noticed that one had disappeared...then today, I noticed the second one was gone (and he was there this morning swimming around at feeding time). So, I began to investigate around the tank supposing he must have gone carpet surfing. When I couldn't find him anywhere on the floor, I decided to check the overflow. Much to my surprise, there was my happy little snowflake swimming in the overflow, so I rescued him...then I got to thinking about that other missing clown, so I checked the other overflow...guess who has been swimming around in that corner overflow box for the last 3 months!!?? I now have 3 happy little clowns all swimming around again in the DT. So, the moral of our story is if you lose a fish, ALWAYS check the overflow! :)

Here are the clowns that got liberated from the overflow exile.

This is the guy who got lost this week.

The mocha clown here is the only one who hasn't had a trip down the overflow. She's the boss of the tank.
