Good point. I think I got a bad one. But comparing all the pumps, all the housings, impellers, and controllers all look very, very similar.
Something with a vehicle assembly line. Why does one break out of 100 much sooner than the others? Mechanical parts all fail at some point in time, just some sooner than others.

You got the one that was made on Friday right before the little man putting it together left for vacation.

Exactly. Chinese holiday must have been going on. They already sent me a replacement impeller but I'm going to request a whole new pump now.

I will be trying a completely new pump this weekend to compare against my current one. The replacement impeller showed up in a destroyed box! Not sure I want to use it...

Are you going with another DC pump or moving back to AC?

For my 180 in wall build I have a brand new Sicce Syncra silent 5.0 rated at 1321 GPH leftover not sure it will give me the amount of flow I am wanting though?

I'm going to get my cd pump warrantied hopefully. I love it and won't go back to AC. I think I just got a defective pump.

Internal or external??

I've Brent old by quite a few people that I can run them externally so I am.

Keep in mind a lot of people have had issues running the Jebao pumps externally and the manufacturer actually recommends internal only. I know of one guy personally who is using a Jebao externally without issue, but they're not designed to be run this way. Just a thought.
