Also proving to be a great herbicide lol

This is measured in drops per 10 gallons :)
Pictures to come!
It appears by your smiley face that thus far this is working..

So dosages are still a question but its a mix of

Bleach
Coral wash
Metro
?

Edit, melafix....would the api melafix be it then?

Yes I am using the bleach I put in the washer. They have a percentage lol ?
Bleach comes in 4 forms, residentially liquid bleach can be 5 or 12 percent liquid. Hth is 65% in granular form, and chlorine gas is 100percent. Obviously the gas isnt usable by us...as it is lethal.

You may find it interesting to google images of what chlorine gas leaks have done.... they are common in some older water treatment plants

Hey Todd et al...

I am back for a few days in the Northwoods and am pretty excited about you new protocol. I am looking forward to hopefully declaring victory over these little jerks.

My tank is looking pretty decent here. I stopped dosing on Wednesday and haven't run any carbon..... Fish and corals...are fine. I did a sampling of water dripping from filter sock and skimmate and sand....and the DINOs are still present and active. But of course...this is no surprise. Metro prove to be unable to kill them. I am hoping this next protocol is something that will work where others have failed.

Looking forward to getting dosages!

You will see many numbers on different brands, usually the better the brand the stronger, but between 5 and 12percent... this could play a factor in results... posting the brand may be useful when you post dosages. Lets not forget also that chlorine escapes quickly when open. So if your bottle is old thebbleach concentration has dimisheshed from ots original amount

This is what I have done on my last dose

10ml of melafix
4ml of ME
And 14 pipette drops of bleach

Remember I have a 20 gallon tank :)
This tank is monitored daily for any adverse reactions.

To neutralize the bleach I will dose h2o2

Wow never would have even considered bleach. So it's not enough by itself to kill dinos (along with everything else)? You still need the other 2 components? Pretty sure that will kill your microfauna. Even a few drops of Bayer would.

I have a formula for this, we just need a ppm or mg\l amount that we are targeting. I will post the formula in a bit with example calulations and we should be able to guide people based on the percantagw of their bleach
