Is this duncan splitting? I thought they grow by groqing smaller polyps that branch out as opposed to splitting like a frogspawn or something

It hasn't oepned properly for about 2 days, and today is the most its been out but it looks like this

I should note that I have had a slight alkalinity swing due to changing salts, but every other coral (including the smaller duncan polyps) seem fine

Yes it's pushing new polyps. Duncans can be branching or form a ball. Yours is a ball forming type.

Congrats your doing well

That's good to hear

It is interesting though, since it is also branching as well, smaller polyps on the skeleton have been growing out for quite a while

Branching like a hammer or frogspawn. Yours isn't doing that its growing more like a brain coral. Yours is doing exactly what mine does. Started as two polyps now the size of a baseball.
