I have an idea on a wall for my 120 amd i think it's going to be sick....but a lot of thinking on how to do certain things and trying to figure out placement and how the best way to do it is.

I think it would be awesome to incorporate a underwater waterfall into the wall in a place where not to much flow amd the sand flow down into multiple different layers through different rocks and pipes back down to the bottom where it goes right back up

I would imagine this would be an awesome way to do a column or a crevasse look in a tank! Food for thought.... Keep up the great work y'all!

Just had a thought, Paul B has a thread about making your own live rock out of interestingly bent pvc, string, and mortar. One could easily imcorporate his liverock into this medium OR, instead of using sand/epoxy to coat the foam, you could use mortar, and make the piece into one big hunk of masonry/liverock.
I may have to fiddle with this train of thought over the next couple days...

Good ideas Gloryofthereef.

At some point, my next tank is going to be some sort of cube or column with a foam structure.

I wonder how well the cement/mortar would stick to the foam?

Let us know how your experimenting goes!

I am new to the hobby and have had an empty BC29 for about a year waiting for life to let me get at it. All of a sudden I see this and woah! Mind blown! Now I want to cover the back wall of the BC!! Amazing job! I am so impressed and truly grateful for the instructions!

Do you think a glass bottle (cracked at the wide point with edges sanded like sea glass) would give a cool view into a critters home if you place it at the edge of the wall next to the glass? Gosh I can see all kinds of ways to give you a peekaboo into caves and homes!

Thanks, FizxVix3n!

I was able to use the instructable as a way to force another tank into the bedroom! Haha
Just gotta sneak some stuff in it..

Sometime this week I'll have a video of my 26 up!

That's a neat idea, as long as you have enough light passing into the "cave" it should work!
