I have about 190-200 par on this approx 2.5" clam but wondering how much flow they need.

They don't need much flow. They should be able to open their mantle and just relax all day, happy as a clam.

If the flow is too strong, you will see them struggle with their mantle.

They will orient themselves to their liking based on lighting and flow. Clams are found in really strong flow, so they can adjust. As long as the mantle isn’t pinned down, you’re fine. If the mantle is buffeted from time to time, no big deal.

Check out James Fatherree's book Giant Clams in the Reef Aquarium, he goes over water conditions such as flow.
Like minus9 said, all clams can handle getting buffeted with flow from time to time. The majority of clams (varies by species) are found 1-5 meters from the surface.
Clams like and need moderate flow, I try to get a little bit of mantle movement. Not so much that it folds over. With some random surges throughout the day.
