I’ve been looking at planet aquariums recently, as I plot my upgrade (don’t tell my wife). They offer a number of wood stand/canopy options in various styles. I believe they will also do stands for other vendor’s aquariums as well.

APS stands are very sturdy and allows for maximum space under the tank. They are also really easy to clean. Wood stands generally have reduced spacing due to posts. Not a big deal depending on equipment/sump setup. I would have got another APS if they had custom sizing. All that being said, wood stands look more like furniture with different stains etc.

I do have one of their stands and it is nicely built. I did get black finish but regret that. Otherwise it is an attractive Stand that looks more like furniture
