having some issues. And pretty puzzled.
Ph, Ahh... i unno..
Alk 12
calcium: 310
was 390 on friday night. After dosing calcium last night. Calcium 310, Either I don't know how to use Saliferts kits, or its a junk test. I followed directions, 1 scoop of powder (don't shake yet) get part 2 solution drip, shake blah blah.... 390 to 310 in a night....

Magnesium is at 1400. I added a little to kind of get it up to where the green monti likes. So, 50-80 more to go.

I didn't test nothing else.

1 dead molly this morning.

If adding calcium and magnesium caused stuff to precipitate out of concentration you could have had an alkalinity fluctuation?

Alk was steady at 12. Mags was about 1 tablespoon sunday night and about 2 ounces of calcium buffer later.

There was something/someone talking about magnesium needs to be at certain levels for calcium to get to certain levels. This isn't working in my brain.

Edit: also curious how quickly coraline algae can suck up calcium.

It's magically forming on the back of the glass.

I swapped the spots of my calcium and my alk 2parts once and was dosing the wrong one for the longest time...
pure stupidity. only needed to dose alk when my kalk was low. so didn't notice because would only hit it once or twice till refill kalk..
I still have 500 calcium though... it just doesn't drop.

My calcium has been 490 for almost a year now. I haven't dosed yet...

If I do do what I am considering and upgrading to one nice tank and getting rid of the two I currently have. Then top of my “gonna need a new home” list are my clowns. Both are single, one an ugly domino ocellaris and the other a monster of a maroon. May try some normal natural ocellaris someday again but certainly not a fan of my current two.

I'm going to keep my male clown. He did nothing wrong and doesn't deserve double punishment. My female has always been a B--ch. We never really liked her. This would be the second or 3rd time now she's been in timeout.

I want to make a nem tank. But the cost of electricity sucks. Plus...

Trachy is changing color, I thought it was a giant flatworm this morning. Maybe it is?

this morning, going to keep my eyes open to make sure it's not a flat worm. Tired all the time

Miner updates. Or major...
No dino spottings since sock removed. Moved the goni near the pectina, she got hit. And honey was here around 2pm yesterday. Little kept me on my toes yesterday.
A little break. I might make some bread.

Molly tank has been doing well. I think I mentioned I fed one of the males to Eli? If not. Well, I did. They were going to kill each other anyhow.

I don't get it. I made an accident that fits in with another post. I haven't added that sock in since reading that response.

I wonder if @Slocke recalls where that post was?

All dinos seem to have a different approach.

I know i posted these befor. The snot was covering my rocks and the top of the tank water. Which i never took pictures of.

They do and my dinos are definitely different from yours. I have a next step if mine keep acting up but right now they aren't bad, so i'm hesitant to change anything unless they get worse again.

I never got a scope to ID mine. They came in with a free box of coral. Not a big deal. I knew I was going to lose my acros at the end of my pregnancy. It hurts I never got what I wanted over to Flora. They all died, except a odd frag and the fish. The wrasse I want to flush down the toilet.

Only issue is, new fish are so troublesome. And with the size of sw fish... They all look like bite size snacks for an eel.

I want to get a lemon peel mimic tang, maybe a magnific fox, or..... Something. I don't want to keep dosing ammonium. it stinks. And a group of anthia if I can find a species that will work for a 112g.

This?
That would be it.
