acans def have a huge tendency to shift colors! Especially the rainbows. I do think the aquacultured ones should have a name as it gives you a "goal" on how they should look. like mardis gras and solar flare for example. but too often vendors chop up wild acans and put a name on them and they shift colors after they are settled. I have thrown away so much money buying "rainbow acan" colonies to culture and they almost always turn redQuestion for everyone here! What are corals you believe should not have names attached due to how different they can look from tank to tank? I believe acans or micromusa lordhowensis is the prime one!
