Also, when I checked the tank this morning there was this HIDEOUS thing sticking out of one of my rocks.

It wasn't until I pulled it out with tongs that I realized my skunk cleaner had molted.

Looks good :) I like that custom ATO container....did you build that from the ground up or customize another acrylic container?

It was a ground up thing. I had my local glass shop cut the polycarbonate to dimensions I specified and then I glued it together after an ENORMOUS amount of sanding. I swear it looked like they cut the pieces with a hand saw. It was also my first attempt at welding plastic so it's pretty ugly. You can't really see it in the pic but there are smears where the glue shot out of the little applicator nozzle. By the end I had figured out how to control the flow but it was too late to make this piece look nice. Next time I'm going to just buy raw sheet from them and go to Lowe's for a table saw blade for plastic.

Even with the "mess ups" it still looks a lot better than my dog food storage container.

I feel ya. This is what I was working with before, a 2g food grade bucket from Lowe's. You could see the white of the bucket through that access hole on the side. I used some carbon fiber look vinyl to camouflage it but it was still terrible. Luckily the side of the reservoir I made that you can see through the same hole looks perfect.

I know that feeling! I also have a 75 gallon freshwater tank. I believe it will get replaced with a 125-150 reef one day!

Can you tell me the story on the syringe I see in post #9?

Sure, it's an Acu-Life True Easy Syringe. The API tests require 5ml of tank water. Using that dosing syringe set to 5ml gets me as close to 5ml as is necessary for an API test without dipping it in the tank pouring a little too much out dipping it again pouring, pouring oops poured out too much etc etc. It can set it 2.5ml, 5ml, 7.5ml, 10ml when set to an amount it will only pull that much.

I also have one each for dosing DT's Phytoplankton, Kent Nano Reef A & B.

I see that now. The only thing is every CVS, Walgreen's, Wal-Mart (not that I would go there for anything) and Target has these so if I need another it's a 5 minute trip to get one. BRS has the same price as Amazon as well.

I'm a bit ashamed actually. I've never bought anything from BRS. I am about to pick up their 2 part bulk package to try.

Check out my YouTube channel in my signature. I've done a few unboxing videos from them. Recently purchased my ATO and reactor from them. You earn points, I have nearly enough points now to get their DIY screen top for free. Also keep an eye on their forum section for group buys. Earn extra points during those group buys.

What really sold me. I bought 25' of airline. I got a phone call one day from BRS, they said they only had 24'. I never would have measured it to begin with. I told them to not worry about it and don't refund me (it's .15 cents a foot). The did refund me, but they took 3 minutes out of their day to call me over 15 cents.

I order a lot of fittings and they are my go to solution for those as well. I highly recommend BRS!

That is an amazing display of customer service. I'll have to give them a try.
