Hey all, my Coralife super skimmer 125 broke today, so I need some opinions on best replacement. It must be a HOB, I guess my biggest concern is can I go too big? Space it will fit is also a problem. I can get the same skimmer but a 225 instead, as the 125 is no longer really available. Or of course something completely different. But I don’t want something that just barely makes my tank requirements. I have a 90 gallon. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

For HOB, I had great success with the Coralife skimmer as well.
If old one good for you, I’d just replace it.

I had the coralife in the past for a couple of years, I now use the aquamaxx 1.5 hob skimmer, I find the aquamaxx has better performance, doesn't require as much tinkering as the coralife did, and roughly in the same price range. Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: sorry, my experience is with the 50-75 gallon efficiency range, I guess you need the next size up.
