I've seen one of these in person, not this particular one but at a lfs. It's looks so unreal, like you can't believe what you are looking at. Nice score.

It will be interesting to see if it keeps that color as it grows. I wonder if it might have been shaded by the mantle of another clam on that side?

If it was being shaded I would assume that it would be lighter in color from bleaching not darker.....But good point Brett something to think about either way.

apparently from what i have read and been told.. only one in ten thousand look like that
