Hello, been visiting R2R for years for general advice. Now I need some targetted advice.

We have a 7-YO Red Sea Max Nano, 20 gal tank. It is recently had so much green algae on the glass that we clean twice/week.

Oscillarus clown
2 BTA (had 1, fracked a few weeks)
emerald crab
Brittle star
Hermit crabs
Turbo snails (down to 1)
8-10 Nassarius snails

Dosing with BrightWell phosphate guard, which keeps creeping up.
Dosing with API calcium supplement, which keeps creeping down.
All other chemistry tests well.
Nitrate, nitrite, ammonia all 0

We can't put a sand sifter like a watchman goby because the clown kills them. So relying on hermits, snails, and water changes for cleanup.

Any advice?
Thank you.

Welcome

Is it just on glass? Thats just a matter of scraping. Its die to your phos elevating which can be controlled. I just use ephos from tropic marin which is lath chloride. Dose it lightly. Powerful stuff.

Nitrates of 0 are generally not good either
