Hey all tanks start somewhere. Post some pictures. It would be nice to see how your reef matures using these Giesemann lamps.

Well I just picked up some Giesemann lamps... That Azure looks promising but I didn't pick that lamp up. Kind of wish I did now just to see it. I picked up (2) actinic blues, (2) super actinics, super purple and aquablue coral..
How that people have had them a while how have they been?

Still liking mine, and I've got a bunch of them here to get some pics of coming shortly :)

No Azure, though. Still can't bring myself to consider it even if it is supposed to be very different from the old Powerchrome Lagoon Blue lol.

Well been using the lamps for a while and they have been great. Corals seem to love them, I wish I would have ordered the Azure to brighten up the look instead of super purple .. I went a little more blue than I personally like, I tried the purple plus from ATI too a ways back and felt the same way. I think with 8 lamp fixture the purple could be worked in fine. Corals seem to like it though:
I also switched out my ati fixture the last few weeks for a Giesemann MATRIXX T5 and I love this fixture, just a work of art.

Not sure if still active, but worth a try.
Any idea how the Aquablue Azure performs?

Bedankt Diesel :)

What bulbs would you suggest for a 4 (or 6) x 54W Giesemann Matrixx Dimtec?
My tank is a Red Sea Reefer 450 (150x50x50cm)

I read a lot about the Aquablue Azure. Is it any good or is the Aquablue-Coral the better option?
The information that was given by Giesemann in this treat is not sufficient to make a final decision and it seems hard to find someone with a clear opinion.

It's all personal.
Trial and error made this hobby what it is.
You just have to try it for a few months, as it's hard to say what you like to see from a spectrum on your tank,
If you want more growth that you need more 10k and the Tropic is the to go to bulb in your series but it kinda wash out the pop.
It took me a while too after I did 3.5 yours of Radions from the Gen 1 all the way up to Pro 3 and was used to see LED colors.
Now I have it pinned down to where my growth is crazy and colors are awesome.

Diesel I have a 6 Bulb ATI fixture 48" Sunpower.
Current ATI bulbs front to back

New to T5's and this is a brand new tank with no corals or fish yet. I'm trying to balance between growth and appleaing to the eye. The setup looks to blue for me. You have a suggestion to make it more whiter but still good growth? Seen pictures of your awesome tank. Could you let me know your bulb combo front to back and if your using ATI bulbs? Thank you.

For the Aqua Blue, do you recommend the Aqua Blue Coral, or Aqua Blue Azure? I'm read to change out my bulbs and I think I'll try this combo.
Thanks,
Neal

What are you using now?
Right now I have the following front to back:

Blue Plus
Super Actinic
Aqua Blue Azure
Fiji Purple
Actinic Blue
Aqua Blue Azure

With all of the bulbs on it seems too white to me. Not enough pop. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Neal

I would suggest to change out a azure or the blue plus as you have a lot of blue going.
A coral from Giesemann will be a great choice.
But let me ask you this..... How's your tank looking and how are the corals doing?
Any pictures?

My corals seem to be happy, but I just don't love the color. I have a dimmable fixture, so when I play around with the channels I can get a good look, but I wish I could get that look without dimming the whiter lights. My phone doesn't take very good pictures, unfortunately.
