You know the sad thing is, We have a macro lenses for our t2i but we both are always to tired or sidetracked to take the time to use it! I need to whip that thing out and get to work, it's not a nice one but still takes decent pics if you know how to hold it correctly.

Hey, ew fish, I am going to the October meet (I think it is the one) down in richmond. Can't wait to hang out with everyone down there again, great crowd of people.

Here is a pic of the 40 breeder we have plumbed under our sps and lps tanks which then drains into the dark high flow sump full of live rock. This tank and the sps and lps tank are all on the same system. The fuge has half rock and half macros with soft corals growing too. Mostly gsp and anthelia. Pods of all sizes are covering the whole refugium tank. Sponges grow great in our sump full of rock, especially the white kind that grows quickly. We feed it to our emperator Angel when we can.

It is a little over 2 years that this tank has been up and running. Cycled it with bacteria and Marco rock. Here are a few progression front tank shots.

9/15/12 Just finished cycling around this time.

Well this is not the update I want... We came home to a blown reefkeeper with water in it. The tank cracked where a bulkhead was on the closed loop... It is 3/4" acrylic and we haven't touched it since we installed it! The bulkhead was only hand tight too. I am lucky it didn't start a fire! I hate acrylic... crazy... Oh well, on the hunt for a cheap tank now... wish me luck...

They are a grandis paly we have been growing for a long time.

Thanks 2.ovtech!

On another note we broke down whole tank. The crack was not in the right spot where we could fix it in time... it's extreemly painful and stressful to take down so suddenly. We have to buy a new reefkeeper unit because it got fried by the water from the leak. We are not sure why the tank cracked out of no where.

BUT since we had the tank break and had a hard time seeing the back of the shallow tank from the front we got a replacement! We are going to do the opposite of shallow and got a 90 gallon tall!
It's an old tank and has scratches but was our best option for replacement. More info coming because today is the day we transfer all out livestock back to the new tank. We also get do redo our fish stock, we put the fish that were in the shallow tank into our 40 breeder lps/anemone tank.

We also got a new 100mm macro lense along with a few other nice ones. So hopefully further updates of corals can be twice as beautiful. Stay tuned and chime in if you have been following please!
