If you think of the amount of pressure the water is creating. The force of weight of water is hundreds of pounds. I'm sure a light weighing less then a pound will have no impact. I have a light weigh almost 13 pounds with arms on my 90 gallon rimless 2 and half years so far no issues crosses figures as types this. Jokes aside you will be fine.

That tank has 10mm glass thickness. I have a Noopsyche K7 V3 Pro on a rimless tank with thinner glass and it is holding fine.

For readily available light kits (Red Sea, AI, etc) there should be no issues. They are made for that application.

If you are talking about some novel DIY thing (which I doubt you are) then I guess I could imagine some extreme set of conditions. But that would be a red herring situation.

Anyone know if using mounting arms for lights, that hang on the back of the tank, stresses the glass on rimless tanks? I am debating on getting noopsyche minis for my new tank or reef brites because of my concerns with rimless tanks.

The tank I am getting is this https://www.fijicube.com/products/f...e-rimless-tank-package?variant=39549769416773

Thoughts?
Make/use a bracket that does not require 'glass fixtures'

Hanging baskets in the garden maybe a good place for inspiration
