You just want to show off your absolutely amazing and well-grown out tank!

Though wow, 18 years! That's some dedication! How long did it take for that monti to grow out?
Aw shucks, you got me! :p :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

For the monti your looking at about 6 years of growth, not counting parts I've pruned off for one reason or another, which probably accounts for a quarter of the total biomass.

I was using polyplab for that but it stopped working after a couple doses.
I’ll have to look up what you mentioned above and try that. I love feeding my scoly and acantho coral.

Are these on magnetic frag plugs? Will they base out on a back wall?
So my Montipora is on a plastic ‘clip’ (I’ve forgotten the name of it) that I just stick on the backwall.

And my Astreopora is just glued to the side wall and has begun to encrust onto the wall.

You got to feed those angels some sponge in their diet then they leave the corals alone.
They get a varied diet which does include sponge, they also have sponges in the tank to just munch on throughout the day - I have two mother colonies in the sump that love to send babies into the main display.

Best Corals would have been a better choice as its hard to puck a favourite :)

Although it might be common in the US the blue oregon tort is my favourite as its nearly non existing here abd I was lucky to score a frag kn a trip to the US years back. Lost it down to a tiny spot that survived at one time. Then that tiny frag (spot) went disappearing while I was on travel and wife found it few days back riding on an urchin. Its officially the slowest coral so took years to regrow to the beauty of a colony. The color abd velvety texture is second to no other coral IMHO
It is the showstopper of the tank and sits in the top front in the middle of the tank where it gets the flow light visibily and attention it deserves

I use roids more for phosphate dosing now to be honest.one salifert measuring spoon daily seems to be my sweet spot.once or twice a week I'll mix in with the mysis and spot feed chalice & scoly.the fuel does seem to trigger the feeding response well before hand but I only use a third of the stated weekly dose or it dusts up the glass majorly

I have 4 although I’ll class two as 1 (I only fragged it about 20 minutes ago).
First up, hammers. Specifically;
My Orange Hammer which is my most expensive coral I’ve ever gotten at £255 ($320).

And my Bicolour Hammer which was brought as a 2 head frag that was on deaths door 18 months ago. It’s now gotten 15 heads and continues to split.

And number 3 (3&4) is my Chilli Coral. I’ve had a nub for ~7 years (it was a frag but then declined and became a nub about a year ago). And finally found a gorgeous colony a month or so ago.
Well, tonight I fragged it and have 2 colonies and one nub!

I woke up early enough to get a photo of the large piece out and open, I did give it a quick broadcast feed and he ate :)

WOW! I will post my favs later today, but i have a really nice zoa, (of course after being told the name multiple times i still cant remember lol) but the zoa looks like a lot like yellow brick road zoa. Also have a really nice joker torch, and a HUGE florida ricordia mush. i have a alvepora that is really nice, gets like 2-3 polyp extension, not really happy with me now. :crying-face:
