I'm thinking your wp-10 should give you enough flow. congrats on your new purchases. fwiw, I would leave the live rock in there. Although it looks different it has coralline on it that can help spread this to your other rocks.

I also would leave the LR. In a few months it won't look as different. It amazing how the rock work blends in with a little time. Even coral putty blends in eventually. LOL

Nice neon green color. My trumpets are a much paler green and not as nice.

I was told that this trumpet may/may not hold its bright green color. Its finnicky with flow light.

I also picked up a radioactive zoa. Hopefully it opens up soon.

Years ago I had radioactive dragon eyes, looked a lot like those. For whatever reason I never had long term luck with zoas although I really like them. I've not tried them in this tank and every tank is different. Maybe I should try again?

I think its the same. I heard zoas are the easy ones to keep. Hopefully it works out. You should give them a try. Maybe you had too much light or flow?

My previous 90 gallon had much less flow as I had the same pumps in a much bigger tank and it had VHO lighting so I don't think that was the problem. My water quality was poorer as WCs are much easier to do on my 36g. Perhaps that would make a difference although I didn't think zoas were fussy about water quality.

Semi shy chromis caught on camera. My royal gramma is impossible to capture. Super shy!

Battling what appears to be a mini cycle. Nitrite hovering at .25

Fortunately ammonia is 0. I added some prime to be safe. Will wait before adding any more corals or fish.

He passed a few days ago. Well before the nitrite spike. All parameters were normal. He never really settled in. Only lived 3 days with me. Sucks big time.

The chromis is happy as can be . He was a bit shy at first but know hes very active.

Diatoms starting to show today. Also have some coralline. But looks like some cyano too?
