Adam, I am thinking about picking this one up. Does it stick hold this color or has it morphed?

Color is solid for sure the actual piece pictured in this thread was grown out from a frag off the original colony, and had been with me at least a year or so before i shot it. I've cut a hand full of frag of this one, so I know its out there. I'd love to see how it's doing for anyone else who's got one.

Yeah, it came in stressed and receded somewhat, but it's encrusted over the nub that died back and looks like it's starting to table out.

Everyone should have an Aquatic-man! One of the best corals around IMO.

Nice pic @bubbaque!

Your sps colors are pretty amazing man!

Edit:
I got a frag of this one some months ago. It almost died on me actually. I managed to save a nub and it's starting to encrust past the super glue. Hope it keeps doing well.

Thank! Colors are on the rebound for sure.

Your tank seems to be doing well right now. Hopefully your frag continues to do well.

@Battlecorals have you tried this in different light levels to get more of the orange out of it instead of red? I wonder if I’m giving it too much light.

Mine is in rather moderate light and I get a greenish body with oranger highlights on the radial corallites. The lower light probably just gives more opportunity for the interplay between red and green pigments that create orange.
