I'm "Dr. Mac", a board certified Veterinary Pathologist. I've enjoyed being a marine aquarium keeper since 1965. My wife Rachel and I work together. She handles the customer service aspects and I do the live side of our business.

We built and opened Pacific East Aquaculture in 2000 in the tiny town of Mardela Springs on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This was by design, we are not a strip mall pet shop!

In the years since then I've traveled the world seeking livestock, starting aquaculture farms, and meeting many interesting folks that share my passion of reefkeeping.

Our facility is open to walk-in customers on Saturdays from 11-5. We stock thousands of corals, clams, inverts, and much more--far more than we ever get a chance to post on our site. A site visit is mandatory!

We stock a very wide variety of livestock and live rock, our specialties are anemones and cultured Tridacna clams along with the many thousands of aquacultured corals we grow, and our homegrown Phytoplankton, pods, and rotifers.

Our fish system and coral tanks have 100% tank-raised fish including 100+ bonded pairs of clownfish. We also have a separate and isolated selection of wild collected fish that are quarantined and treated for 4 weeks prior to sale. This will soon be added to our site.

We regularly offer tours to school, senior citizen, and other groups.

I do miss living in VA and having easier access to your corals at frag swaps! Maybe one day again.
