On your stand did you just make two frames and only used the 4 supports resting on the lower frame?

Yes...each corner has a set of 1/8" steel braces, pretty happy with it considering it's my first venture into building my own stand

That bare bones of my 40b stand are build the same way but I used 2x3 instead of the steel brace. The stand is sturdy with no problems.(wish I would have done the steel though)

Yeah I'm fairly certain I could park a small car on top of my stand lol

Nice build. I just sold my 100. Starting a 40b build. How do you like the 720gph return. I am not sure if I want to use my mag 7 or 9.5

I think it's perfect for the 40b tank size. I've got a relatively slow rate of flow through my sump so I have the dc return pump running about 75%

Joined the fungia club today! Bright orange plate! Pic doesn't really capture the true color but it's close.

So with this purchase I've realized I have an incredibly mixed reef. I've got acans, zoas, chalices, favia, war coral, hammer, duncans, a pink goniopora, a scoly, several species of sps, 2 rainbow btas, and now the plate! Not sure I have room for much more....but maybe...
