I have a 650 at my office. Wanted to start with tanks more manageable. I also like to do a few small tanks so I can do several species type tanks.

I so agree with that mindset. I would only do a large tank fish only. Wouldn't want to be dropping stacks on lights and corals for such a large tank. Largest reef I hope to own is 120-150 gallons

Yeah. I have a 650 gallon in my office that crashed. It is a complete headache now since i need to restart it from scratch. I think I might turn that one into a fish only tank. Their are lots of marine fish I would like to get that can never do since i had corals. I have never had a fish only tank before.

Adding the new 385 gallon peninsula tank was a chore. Had to use a moving company to move the tank.

I spent a few weeks building out the aquascape with Reef Saver dry rock with BRS think gel.

Got to say I love the quality of this Synergy Reef sump SK-60. Total of 75 gallon sump. Build time from order was roughly about 4 weeks which I thought was pretty good. I spent a little over 4 months researching until I settled on this model. What also sold me was the ability to add 2 x

ClariSea SK-5000 Gen 3 Automatic Filter System units.

I decided to go with the Regal Reef Octopus 300-INT as I am a huge fan of there skimmers. It's foot print was able to fit into the large skimmer chamber of the SK-60 sump. Rated for heavy bio-loads of up to 450 gallons I felt it was a good sized skimmer for the system.

Powering the returns I went with 2 Ecotech Vectra M2 pumps which are rated to deliver 2000 gph.

I went back and forth with what UV light to go with. I have been using aqua ultraviolet for many years so I thought that would be what would be on this tank. Instead I went with the Lifeguard Pro-Max High Output 90 Watt UV. Couple reasons that sold me was price and space savings of the Lifeguard.
