We have just found that the reaction from the core7 is improved when dosed direct into the algae. More importantly though is the high flow area

Wouldn't adding it into the algae chamber result in some of the dosage being skimmed out, as the next chamber is the skimmer chamber? The highest flow area for me would be the algae wall where it cascades into the next chamber(skimmer). I have the same high flow area after the skimmer chamber going into the return chamber. Would that suffice? Free from being skimmed out.

I asked the same thing, the answer was that the reaction for the solutions was better with the algae and any amount skimmed out would be minimal, this is only the case for Core7.

Thanks Tim. For now I've kept it in the return section. I need to work out how to get it dosed into the algae chamber as its on the OTHER side :)

Anyone else having a problem with any of the CORE7 elements clogging up the line where it drips out? I had a complete blockage after 2 weeks of usage. I put exit line under the water line so hopefully it will not clog

I haven't had an issue. Maybe the problem lies in the frequency of your doses. How many times do you dose/day and how many ml?

Were you dosing the original Base Elements prior to Core7? If so did you replace the hoses? The formula is different between the two so they could easily react if you used the old hoses.

Completely submerged 3A line started to clog with white hard material. 3B not as bad but had to clear the line after 1 week.

Do not submerge the lines, the liquid needs to go into high flow, because it is touching the water it is in effect very slow flow inside the tube....

Tried non submerged. 3a got stopped up and a long white residue

Looked like an icicle

Only 3a is submerged now. Thought the white residue would dissolve.

The moisture in the submerged tube prevents the crystallization, yet the chemicals are still dropping into the water.

No, I bought direct from Pacific Sun. It didn't take long to get it.
Once you see how their built from the picture you could easily make a home made model. You really only need a single unit for the Core7 (1).

Hi Garret

The dosing is based on consumption so if you know what your daily Alk drop is and your aquarium volume is we can give you a more accurate starting dose than the 2ml/100L.

Yes 3a&b can be combined but you must then double dose that channel.
