In my eyes the most underrated corals are the scleractinians of the (old) family Agariciidae, especially Pachyseris spp., Leptoseris spp. and the beautifully structured species of Pavona besides Pavona cactus.

Unfortunately Agaricia spp. are completely out of reach for us.

I have more an eye for beautiful and interesting structures than for colors, I have to say.

Another beautiful coral species you don't read much about is Cyphastrea decadia. It even is one of my favourite "acroporas", it may look quite similar to a Acropora coral.

Love the column growth but they don't have much color. (unless they died and show there beautiful blue skeleton)
Fun fact: they are a leather coral!

Goniastrea
That “Goniastrea” is actually a Coelastrea, not Goniastrea. True Goniastrea have smaller corallites and are usually not exported due to their drab coloration. Here’s an example of a true Goniastrea:

In my eyes the most underrated corals are the scleractinians of the (old) family Agariciidae, especially Pachyseris spp.
I’m pretty sure Pachyseris is in its own family: Pachyseridae.
