I might just have to go with a cherub then for around 3 months any other fishes candy hogs grow to big for that and they need swimming room so do cherubs so are there any suggestions

Maybe a neon dottyback? Super bright colors and should be comfortable by itself in the 2ft 15g.

I have a bigger tank I just want my small tank to have some colour and nice algae cleaners

Get yourself some mollies, acclimate them to saltwater and call it a day.

For 15 gallons you’re looking at ~3-5 of these little algae eaters assuming they’re on their own. Pick color to suit your tastes.

If you have minimal flow in this tank you could also try guppies.

don't really need to QT fish in the UK

all the whole salers get fish from TMC and they are VERY good
