Got two purple tangs recently and they are shredding thru nori. I am currently using Sally’s green nori thag I got from petco. However at the rate they are pushing thru it I’ll be broke soon lol. Anyone have a loop hole they use to get lots of it for cheap? Also feeding nori heavy to keep aggression down and keep them healthy and fat.
I buy on ebay and trade shows. I dont use anything baked and from Asian markets. When 2 dozen tangs barely ate it- that was a red flag for me

No oils for me. I am Ok with toasted (light heat), but not roasted (heavy heat) - in what I get toasted drys them out and roasted cooks them. I like to get some green and then purple if I can. Nothing rejects it.

My fish only rejected sheets when I got some with oil in them. There are a lot of options at a large asian market, so be careful.

I've been feeding this since 2017. Tangs all love it and are fat and healthy. Some have been with me almost 7 years so I'm comfortable using it.

EDIT : I don't feed nori everyday.

This stuff is roasted, that’s not what you want.

I’m trying this - pretty cheap and the fish like it.

I get it but after feeding it for 7 years I think it's fine.
Yeah I know, just saying - for “optimal” nutrition it shouldn’t be roasted, according to most sources. And since non-roasted is readily available why not go with the healthier option?

You can survive on twinkies and chicken McNuggets for 7 years too…

Im in Australia... Everything is expensive here:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I just get nori from Coles.

Been using it for years and both local LFS use it as well.
About $3 a packet which lasts me a couple of weeks.

Could be cheaper at an Asian grocer but I'm lazy and it costs more for a cup of coffee anyway.
