Thanks ocean cube! These guys are pretty finicky. The water has to be perfect. I just finished my masters so I kinda neglected the system a bit. Now Ive graduated, i will have more time to dedicate to these guys...And my other 25 fish lol.
It's been 4 months since they last laid eggs. When they get their groove perfect it goes like this.
Day 1 lay
Day 7 first few eggs hatch 10%
Day 8 majority hatch 80-85%
Day 9 the rest 5-10%
Day 17-20 expect another batch.
pretty cool.
i think proaquatics was doing this but abandoned the project. i believe they had a high mortality rate around the 6 to 9 month period.
i dont know which was the male but i wonder if that will make a difference

Thanks man, I'm a big fan of your clowns! They did have a high mortality rate at around the range you mentioned. I believe in their case the male was the oscillaris but I am not sure if it will make a difference. They are pretty aggressive with each other so I will be separating them out in the next month or so.

Very kewl breeding situation getting back into the hobby to breed black perc. So doing my reading on anything clown breeding in the forums.
