SCIENTIFIC NAME - Lactoria cornuta

COMMON NAME - Longhorn Cowfish

SIZE - 18.1" (46 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 180 US Gal. (681 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Meaty diet, chopped shrimp, squid, clams, fish, Mysid shrimp, enriched freeze dried krill, frozen herbivore food containing algae.

REEF AQUARIUM COMPATIBILITY - Not reef safe.

CAPTIVE CARE - Horns shorten as the fish grows, do not keep with aggressive tank mates, has been observed spitting water at the surface, easily startled by sudden light changes, movement or harassment, may injure itself if startled, will release a toxin that can wipe out the entire tank if startled, injured, or dying.
