A few small updates. I had tried a swap to the aquamana COB 152watt fixture, that was a total bust. Shortly after that I ordered some 455nm LED strips and incoroprated those along with a dimmer onto my halide fixture. That turned out nice, but the blue is overwhelming, so at some point I'll add a set of 10K's as well to balance out the overwhelming blue actinic. Here's a couple new pieces under the straight 455 LED's as well as a couple of old ones :)

Lunar eclipse and wonka berry zoas

Blue with pink tip goniopora - pics do this 0 justice. This is a nice baseball size colony. I'm ecstatic about this one!

One huge upgrade. I got a HOB overflow and a 10G tank/sump set up and moved some of the equipment down there. :). If nothing else this significantly cleaned up the main tank. Now to upgrade that skimmer since it's an option...

since it was an option with the sump, and I found one local. -skimmer upgrade day. Now the sump is REALLY worth it! Eshopps S-120 to replace the outdated coral-life 125. I will say, it's a totally different world... I always wrote off people ragging on my skimmer because it pulled some serious funk when I was curing rock for the new setup, and never gave me any serious issues after a few mods on the old setup. Let's just say, I've seen the light. I would still run the coral-life (and probably will) on a low bio-load tank... but it's definitely not my first choice anymore even at it's price point.
