Any suggestions or recommendations on what all would be needed to maintain a quarantine/hospital tank? I never had a problem with ick in my previous tank but I got it on the first new additions to this one. I guess I was lucky last time.

You need; a tank (10g minimum, 20 would be ideal), heater, some sort of light (does not need to be a big expensive light, just something to examine your fish), a hang on back filter or canister filter (it really is up to you and what size tank you get, but I suggest getting one that uses seperate media, as in not just a filter/carbon insert and thats it. I like the Aquaclear and use that on my QT. The reason being is then you can keep the sponges/bacteria breeding areas in your sump/DT to colonize, you need this for filtration as live rock should not be used as filtration in a QT), pvc parts/things for fish to hide in (NO SAND!), separate nets, food, tongs, bucket(s), meds, containers. If you search on here for quarantine I am sure you can find more info. Feel free to ask any questions.

My QT is a cheap PetSmart 10g kit ($49) includes top with low Watt led lights, heater & hob filter. I also added two PVC elbows (2")
