We did quite a bit of research, and found that an approximate ratio of 6:1 660nm red to 460nm royal LEDs is excellent for macro algae growth. These will have 90 degree or 60 degree optics, and dimmable. They blow any flourescent fuge bulb away hands down, and use even less power, a miniscule 9.5 watts! We will have these ready in about 2-3 weeks, and asking $79 shipped each. These are available for pre-order now!

Good timing, I was just looking to replace my home depot fixture. What is the length of this fixture and how can it be mounted? How large of a fuge do you think it can cover. Tia

It can cover most fuges, I would say up to a 20" cube. It will take any regular light socket, we have a hanger available for $14.99 extra. I will measure it and get back to you.

hmm, I wonder if this could work for an ATS. definitely looking forward to some pics as well. Also, is there a price break for 2?
Yes, it will be just fine for an ats, they are bulbs and can be mounted sideways. Since this is a pre order, I could give 10% off.

Do you ship just copepods? I may want to buy some but is the shipping $50 if I was to buy it alone?

Oh, and guys, this can be used to grow phytoplankton, and yes, I will be using it for that. How about a plankton grow your own package? Maybe the bulb, a hanger for it, and some phyto?

Could be pretty cool!! You are on a roll, and doing your research! I'm happy to see you bring these types of fixtures to market ahead of the curve

The one I am building is $99, with 5 red crees and 1 royal blue. It is 12" long x 1.75" wide. The $79 ones are par 38 bulbs with 10 reds and 2 royal blues.

I'm excited to see. I've been using a JBJ on my really small/narrow refug. Something hovering over the top would be much better.

Here are some pics of the $99 version, it is more than enough for a 40 breeder fuge, as demonstrated in these photos:
