Not a lot of progress this week... I had three days off in addition to the holiday weekend and spent all of it painting our main level (again) and traveling to visit with family.

I did pick up a can of paint from the home depot whoops section.. anyone use this in their Fish rooms?

...and yes it is floor enamel and I'll be applying it to the wall.. it was $9 for a gallon so if it is a bust, no worries.

Paint is on the walls and both stands are in place.. The enamel paint went on extremely easy and the walls are now moisture resistant.

Next step will be to build a desk/shelf on the right wall and get the brute containers placed and the RODI permanently installed.

Oh and ONE TANK IS IN PLACE!

Sweet...like seeing more progress. On a side note, I will be in the Chicagoland area for Christmas(grew up in Roselle), what are some of the better reef shops in the area? Any help you can provide is appreciated. I have wanted to go visit Reefwise, but am not aware of any other quality places. Thanks in advance.

Reefwise is a nice shop but I never developed a relationship with the owner and the pricing always seemed high to me. Definitely worth a stop no doubt though.

By far my favorite is Aqua Pros / Pro Reef Corals in Glen Ellyn.

Thanks! Me too!! I have never set up a system this slowly (and never had a fiance and soon-to-be-stepson to have it contend with... but they are worth it)

Here is my first stab at organizing my electronics cabinet. The top left will by where the apex brain will sit. Bottom right where my third EB8 will sit.

Since typing this out, I may move an EB8 over to my fish room secondary tank and the EB4 over my water change area for AWC pumps. I'm getting a DOS for Xmas so unsure of where that will go.

I think more planning is in order. Feedback or ideas anyone?

Made some progress today on my day off work.

- Stain and poly coated the main tank stand
- Built the structure for my QT/Hospital work station and sealed/painted the MDF top. We'll see how long that holds up for [emoji4]
- Siliconed around the top of the MDF counter.. waiting to cover that with the epoxy paint once it cures.

Now to stain and poly coat the secondary tank stand and other finishing touches.

A little unpacking and organizing last night.

Got the 1/4" rigid tubing run for the water change output to the other side of the basement to the sump so the water doesn't go into the septic tanks.

More to do but getting closer to getting the QT wet!

That is some serious standage. I'm over here lookin' at my commercial stand and wondering how it hasn't collapsed yet, and you've got the skills to create _this_!

~Bruce
Thanks Bruce!

I'm hoping to get some fish in QT no later than end of January. Plumbing and getting the big tank in the basement is the next step!
