I have too many tank threads. Was gonna just combine them in one but it would be too confusing.
Ok, so I got my biocube back and cleaned it out this morning with an awesome mixture of bleach, alcohol, and vinegar and turned the pump on and let it run!
Rinsed it all out and now I have a clean start. Tried scraping all the coralline off the back but it's tough. I got most of it. Will be starting it up in a few days

I have a good amount of dry rock to choose from. I also have tonga branch and this cool piece of coral skeleton

I guess that's the newer version BC29? My back wall is flat across the back and doesn't have all those inlet slots for chamber 1.
Actually, this thing is old as dirt. I think this was the first oceanic line of biocubes way before coralife took them over.

Was wondering when you would be back on here man
Yea I finally got a ton of free time back recently so I'm going to try and stay more active on here again. Really going to try and make some progress on my tanks here in the next few weeks hopefully. Hopefully I can start putting some things in my little 5 gallon tank soon and get some updates.

Sounds good man. How's your tank doing?

Everything is in good shape. Coralline is finally starting to take off on the rocks. The little tank has diatoms right now so hopefully it's nearing the end of the cycle.
Geez. It should have cycled forever ago!

That's what I thought too. I just tested it again today and it looks to be all cycled. It's weird though because today it tested .36 ppm PO4 but the last time I tested was almost a month ago and it was also .36 ppm PO4. But it tested 0 nitrates today so I guess it's good?

Yeah I'd say so, but watch it. Your walking into alot of "fun" if you will. Basically put your corals in it and try your best not to do unnecessary water changes.

Should I do a water change now before I put anything in to start fresh or just leave it as it is? I might pick up a couple of mushrooms from the lfs and see how they do in there before I go doing anything else. Might pick up some snails too to help with cleaning the glass somewhat.

No water change is necessary. Snails will help. Nanos are touchy, especially tiny ones.

Luckily if something catastrophic happens I won't be too deep in the hole on this one. Should I give the coral in the tank a little bit of food like reef frenzy or is it better not to?

And here I was worrying about starting a new build thread because I changed from a long nano to a cube and things are completely different. Are you running the standard hood or did you upgrade?
