Fluconazole: when do I know it's 'done,' and how to add chaeto back in?

Hi! We have been battling bryopsis and are treating our tank with FluxRX/fluconazole. We are on about day 12 of treatment, and have seen most of the bryopsis disappear, hooray! However, I realized I read all about how to introduce fluconazole, but not what to do at the end of treatment. 1)...

Bryopsis or HA + few questions

I had a lot of hair algae at one time. I accidentally cleaned too much rock with peroxide and knocked off the biology. Dino's came out, did 3 blkouts over the fall. Eventually the stones became heavily overgrown with fluffy unknown shrubs over time as I started to regain the previous light...

Tuxedo urchin has what looks like Bryopsis on his back. I have another spot of Bryopsis elsewhere in the tank and have been trying to manually remove. I think the urchin picked up a strand and put it on the back. Anyone else face this issue?

Beating Bryopsis and Turf Algae with fluconazole

✂️ Day 16 of Fluconazole treatment to kill off Bryopsis and some sort of nuisance turf algae = SUCCESS! I first started trying to beat Bryopsis with raising magnesium to up over 1600 which helped to slow down the growth rate but it just wasn’t enough. After posting about it a lot of you...

    My ongoing battle with GHA

Back in February I had a huge takeover of cyano, bryopsis and GHA. First photo, I know it was bad. I was in a bad headspace I know what happened: overfeeding, lack of maintenance & topping off with questionable store bought water and the occasional tap water top off. I’ve manually removed...

    Algae ID assistance

Hi all! I seem to be having an issue with a nuisance algae. I would like to see if there is a "natural" solution to the problem before I try to attack it with chemicals. I have a starry blenny, a blue spot sea hare, and a smorgasbord of different snails, but none of them seem to touch the stuff...
